Since 1988, Dancing-Cat Bags owner and artist Helen
Lott has made each handbag, travel bag and accessory her personal creation.
She has designed her extensive line of products to
ensure each one meets the highest standards for attractiveness, durability and
functionality. That is why fine boutiques worldwide carry Dancing-Cat Bags. They know each design will
meet even the most discriminating customer's taste.
In order to ensure quality in every facet of production, owner Helen Lott oversees every detail. She promises that all
components and construction features are the finest available.
Helen has three goals when designing such high quality bags. First, they must be attractive to the eye. Second,
they must function extremely well. This includes making sure that what is placed in the bag is easily found and that the bag is comfortable when carried. Third, the bag must last for
years, not just a season or two. The details of construction and the quality of all components ensure that these three goals are
met.
Here are some examples
of what makes a
Dancing-Cat bag so well
made.
- Imagery is carefully
centered on all bags,
pockets and flaps.
Cutting every piece by
hand, one at a time, is
the only way to
accomplish this design
feature but it is
essential to the overall
beauty of each bag.
- Seams are bound, not just overlocked. This not only keeps seams from fraying but also adds strength to the seam and prevents the lining from bunching or pulling out.
- Lining fabrics are selected in colors lighter than black so bag contents are highly visible! Everyday bags are lined with coated nylon taffeta so they may be wiped clean or hand-washed in cold water. (Cotton lining would soil worse than the tapestry itself.) Evening bags are lined in beautiful faille.
- Pen/pencil loops are made from elastic so as to accommodate any size pen or pencil easily.
-
New: Cell phone
pockets!
-
New: Clip for keys
on a cord long
enough that their
weight rests on the
bag's bottom yet
they are easily
retrieved.
Dancing-Cat bags are made with fine American craftsmanship and will provide years of
pleasure and good service.
